SURJ-TC organizes white people to build the political will needed to end white supremacy. We do this through political education, direct action, self reflection, and community-building, and by following the example and leadership of BIPOC partners.
SURJ-TC imagines a world beyond white supremacy. In this future, wealth is not concentrated in the hands of a small group of mostly white people. Communities flourish because their physical and economic needs are met, and because people feel connected and accountable to each other and to the natural world. We have reckoned with the ways in which white supremacy's history is tangled with capitalism, colonization, and Christian dominance. Every one of us knows that seeking our own well-being through the exploitation and oppression of others is not an acceptable way of living.
